The Chinese Domain Names Initiative (CDNI) of the Internet Society of China (ISC) attended the ICANN 70 online on March 11,2021. Mr. Rui Zhong, Deputy Director of China UA Initiative and CDNI made an introduction on the Community Update on Universal Acceptance Readiness organized by ICANN-UASG.

The meeting focused on how to promote the universal application of internationalized domain names, the promotion of internationalized email addresses (EAI), best practices and other topics.

Mr. Rui Zhong shared the work of the CDNI in the past six months to promote UA and the 2021 work plan, including continuing to promote more basic Internet applications to support UA, expanding domestic personal mail support for EAI,open the official website of the CDNI, and advocate self-discipline in the Chinese domain name industry, etc.

156 representatives from multi-stakeholders including technical communities, industry organizations, and private organizations attended the meeting.
