Themed on "Promoting Regional Cooperation for a Global Digital Future", the 2025 South and Southeast Asia Digital Cooperation Conference and Supply-Demand Matchmaking Event for Industry Trade was successfully held in Bangkok, Thailand from August 28 to 29.

Jointly organized by the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Yunnan Province and Thailand's Digital Economy Promotion Agency, and supported by multi-partners including the Internet Society of China (ISC), the event attracted around 600 participants from 12 countries including China, Thailand, and Pakistan, with over 25 cooperation projects signed.

At the opening ceremony, Dai Wei, Deputy Secretary-General of ISC, released the report on "Outlook on Digital Country Construction in South Asia and Southeast Asia" on behalf of the Expert Steering Group for Digital Cooperation in South Asia and Southeast Asia. The report reviews the digital country construction in South Asia and Southeast Asia, analyzes the current situation and trends of various countries' digital development strategies, policies and measures, infrastructure construction, and digital economy development. It focuses on the cooperation practices and achievements between China and South Asian and Southeast Asian countries in the digital field, analyzes the problems and challenges existing in the cooperation process, and puts forward suggestions and prospects from five aspects for further deepening digital international cooperation and jointly creating new spaces for international development.

Mr. Dai also attended and delivered opening remark for the Cross-border Connectivity Cooperation Seminar of the "2025 South Asia and Southeast Asia Digital Cooperation Conference".
