The 1st China Netizens Cultural Festival Celebration was organized by Internet Society of China (ISC) in Beijing on Sep 14th， the date Chinese netizen voted last year to select it as the "Netizen Day" in China.

ISC President Madam HU Qiheng， Father of German Internet Prof. Werner Zorn and Mrs. Zorn， US experts on netizens research Mrs. Ronda Hauben and Mr. Hauben， Chief scientist of Computer Network Information Center of Chinese Academy of Sciences Prof. QIAN Hualin， ISC Vice President Mr. HUANG Chengqing， Culture Market Dept of Ministry of Culture Vice Director TUO Zuhai were present at the event.

Madam HU introduced the aim of the event was to provide a platform for the netizen to exchange and show out themselves， to promote the development of Internet culture in China. To express the great appreciation to Prof. Zorn’s contribution to the development of China Internet， Madam HU awarded the “Chinese Honorable Netizen” title to Prof. Zorn at the event.

Mrs. Ronda Hauben shared wiht her understanding and research on the definition of Netizen.

Before the Celebration event， ISC had organized a series of netizen contests begun last year， such as Designing Contest of Netizen Festival Logo， Blog Contest， Typing Input Contest， Network Marketing Contest， The Utilization of Waste Best Practice etc. Today， the winners of the netizen contests were invited and awarded at the event.
